L-Alpha Glycerylphosphorylcholine, a good piece of gear
Alpha-GPC is a handy nootropic and a very critical component of Warheads on Foreheads. It is one of the most bioavailable forms of choline – a major component of any cognitive performance supplement. The purpose of choline in Warheads on Foreheads is the synthesis of choline into Acetylcholine.
What does Acetylcholine do?
Acetylcholine is a chemical messenger which assists in the transmission of signals across the nerve synapse. (Smart Drugs 2015) What this means in simple terms: acetylcholine assists in boosting a lot of the traffic in your brain. This allows for higher levels of brain activity and thought – the major purpose of a nootropic supplement. This makes Alpha-GPC a cornerstone ingredient.
Acetylcholine provides benefits outside of the nootropic (brain) application. Acetylcholine is also used in the signaling of muscles. Choline in general can be very handy for the Infantry community. There are many benefits of Choline outside of the scope of this article. (Brown n.d.)
Will Alpha-GPC hurt me?
It is possible but unlikely. A very large dose of Alpha-GPC can cause heartburn, headaches, insomnia, dizziness and skin rash. (WebMD n.d.) None of the WHOF testers experienced these symptoms. The dose is well planned to mitigate the symptoms. Other ingredients in WHOF mitigate these potential issues.
Your worst-case problem with Alpha-GPC and Acetylcholine: some nerve gasses work by firing off all your available Acetylcholine. If you are taking WHOF and hit by one of these weapons there is more damage potential from these chemical weapons. Either way you need to get your mask on quick or you will die – Alpha-GPC will have little effect on this problem. In the inverse WHOF will help you to more readily identify potential chemical attacks and train for the problem ahead of time.
Is there a better way to get Alpha-GPC than taking WHOF?
Choline is available in a lot of foods. A very well balanced diet will provide the required Choline. You can also purchase Choline and Alpha-GPC in bulk from other vendors. I personally recommend both WHOF users and non-hackers also take Citicoline. But, WHOF balances more aspects of the cholinergic system than a straight Choline system will do. WHOF will definitely give you greater return on investment.
